THE TRUTH 9-12

9-12
9. Good use of a JFK quote. Apparently, rather than nukes and communists, JFK is referring to the Templars. It brings into question how aware certain powerful peoples were of the Templars in the AC universe. Likely, they did not know they were Templars but they knew there were powerful organisations working behind the scenes. I love the way Des and his team make use of the mundane to create something horrific. What would be a boring quote saying grrr commies woo hoo capitalism, is now a haunting reference to how the Templars use the PEs to delude people.
So, Abstergo was behind the NASA space program as they attempted to retrieve a PE on the moon. What was PE5 doing up there? Possible attempt by the first civ to control humanity via Earth's satellite? An artificial satellite that crashed into the moon? Were the civ on the moon? Whatever the case, it is a good use of the moon's natural history as a subject related to psychological phenomenon. It was believed the moon caused temporary madness known as lunacy. Perhaps the artifact was being used as a weapon and it lost its signal over time?
Ubisoft said in AC3 that it was after Juno sent a bunch of PEs into orbit in order to use the power of belief to bend reality......yes, that's probably the dumbest out of all the theories. If you didn't already know, in Ubisoft's AC you can destroy walls by making a hundred people use the power of belief....I think we both know how the series is going to end.
10. Nikola Tesla, in real life, was a genius unparalleled in his time. He was also equivocally underfunded. Nobody wanted to invest in Tesla, even when he provided working prototypes. He tried to sell a remote control boat to the US military but they refused. He invented the AC current but Edison slandered him in favor of his direct current. The direct current is now recognised as vastly inferior. Ever tried to fix Christmas lights? That's Edison's fault. Tesla was an advocate of free energy and tried to create a device at Wardenclyfe for transmitting electricity across the Atlantic. But he ran out of funding. Can't say I'm an expert but at face value this looks like a bunch of corporate douche bags screwing over an exemplary individual, but that never happens does it?
In the AC universe, Tesla found PE4 in Croatia and used his genius to decipher its riddles. Then, the Templars took it.
11. So, Morgan and Edison were Templars. Morgan took away funding from Wardenclyfe while Edison had PE4 extracted.
12. Ford used PE4 for his industry and sent it along to Adolf Hitler in order to start a war in Europe. Hitler apparently had a portrait of Ford in his office. Ford motors was one of the companies that was allowed to sell machinery to the Nazis during the war, even during American intervention. Good that Des uses this example of mere greed and corruption in an effort to portray a darker conspiracy. (I would honestly rather if they were all Templars, at least all that corruption was for the sake of peace on Earth rather than, you know, money.) This shows a side of the Templars, perhaps a flaw in their brotherhood, where Templars exercise greed and self interest. I imagine the Templars are attractive to the kind of people who crave power and domination for evil reasons. The higher members most likely use these people as tools as they do the PEs. Or perhaps the Templars were becoming corrupt by the time of Abstergo.
I see Des referencing how corporation owners co-operate in order to form a ruling class while feigning competition. The same thing happens in the game industry, it ensures a lack of competition and a monopoly on the economy. Though, it eventually will result in a degradation of the quality of products and a collapse of the whole system. Yeah, these people aren't very bright but they do have money.
