13. So, Oppenheimer was a Templar. I would have gone with Groves but I guess to the audience, Oppenheimer was more well known. The invention of nuclear arms was for the sake of instigating a cold war. With all hands on the button, it would ensure a stable Western world and American supremacy. Then again, the Templars could have been planning something greater with nuclear technology.
14. Yes. The Assassins are the descendants of a union between god and man. Their abilities, the eagle vision, the physical and mental aptitude, the resistance to the PEs and the ability to use them proficiently. All of it comes from their shared blood. I have seen the Assassin symbol being described as an eagle's skull or a freemason insignia. But I always thought it represented two sides becoming one or even a uterus.
15. We hear nothing of the Assassins until this point. They are mostly in the dark only appearing when it is time to kill. That is quite appropriate for a fictional group based off the Nizari Ismaili. Rasputin, Stalin, Mary I, Cleopatra, Tomas De Torquemeda, Pizarro, Duvalier and John Wilkes Booth are all Templars assassinated by the Assassins.
